Can I train with Marsblades/Green Biscuit/whatever?

Many ask: Can I train with Marsblades/Green Biscuit/whatever?

I'm not going to tell you what to think - because that's the problem.

You're waiting for someone to tell you what you can and can't do. How you should or shouldn't train.

I did this for many years. And it's because I didn't want to be in the driver's seat of my success. If the "advice" I received failed, it wasn't really me who failed. It was the advice. Right?

Doesn't that sound crazy? But some of you do the same thing. I don't want that for you.

I want you to grow bigger than that. Bigger than I was.

To directly answer your question, I wrote an article about if you can train off-ice here. I also specifically designed the Downhill Skating System to be used with Marsblades (except for outside edge slides like the jab step). Precise puck control can be learned with a floorball stick or Green Biscuit. And the Slingshot can be learned with a floorball stick or just a tennis ball.

Game specificity isn't as important as you think from an equipment standpoint. But game specificity is extremely important from a mechanics and mindset standpoint. Why is it that some of the best shooters in hockey were also very good baseball players? Why was it that Ovechkin hit a hole in one on his first shot in golf? Mechanics and mindset.
